a teenager with a troubled past discovers that the game of golf could be his shot at escaping the trap of street life.
Deandre Jenkins is a 17-year-old living in a group home under the supervision of Mama Jones, a benevolent caretaker. He’s a skilled basketball player and a decent student, but the circumstances of his life have forced him to focus on surviving rather than dreaming of his future.
“Even though you’re still
a little skateboard punk, you
are like family to me.”
Bullseye Bill
After getting thrown off the basketball team for fighting, he will likely have no chance of getting a college scholarship. Deandre’s case manager, Adlin, helps him formulate a plan to secure an apartment and a car once he graduates high school and can no longer rely on the safety net of Foster care. But much to his surprise, the course of his entire life changes when Adlin helps him land a job washing dishes at a local country club.
After his birth mother fails to appear in court yet again for a judicial review, a frustrated Deandre reaches his boiling point and takes his anger out one night on the golf course. Stressed to his breaking point during an important club gala event, he steals a golf cart, ultimately wrecking it out on the course, then he picks up a golf club and magically smacks a ball into the moonlit night sky. Arnold Wright, the head golf superintendent at the country club, picks up the ball and follows its trajectory backwards to find Deandre. Astounded by how far the boy hit the ball without any golfing experience, Arnold takes a keen interest in Deandre. First, Arnold has Deandre transferred out of the kitchen and into his department, where Deandre can learn the trade. Then, Arnold craftily pairs Deandre up with the curmudgeonly country club pro, Bullseye Bill, who was once at the top of the sport but has since been banished from the game. Sensing that these two people need each other, Arnold’s instincts pay off beyond his wildest imagination.
“bullseye bill agreed to give you golf lessons? i can’t believe that.”
Arnold Wright to Deandre
While Bill teaches Deandre the game of golf, Deandre inadvertently teaches Bill about love and appreciation. Mentoring Deandre enlightens Bill and makes him want to be a less selfish human being. Meanwhile, devoting himself to golf instills a desire within Deandre to dream big. Aided by a budding romance with the country club general manager’s daughter, Deandre prepares for the SAT and sets his sights on getting into college. No longer content with just getting by in life, Deandre now wants to thrive. Even with his new support system, a case manager who cares, and a benevolent Foster mother, the odds are stacked against Deandre.
Much like a challenging golf course, imposing obstacles await him at every turn, most notably a local gang leader who forces Deandre to work off a debt by stealing cars. Can this talented young man navigate the rocky road to success in golf and in life? Or will his uphill climb prove too steep a slope to overcome? Whatever the outcome, Deandre’s journey will undoubtedly remind us that no matter how dire your circumstances may be, one swing can change your life.

In the male-dominated NBA, an enterprising yet socially clumsy young woman aspires to become the first female General Manager, and must delicately navigate her way through the organization if she wants the corner office.
“Franchise Player” is the story of a young woman with big league dreams. Raised by a sport-obsessed single father, Guidry learned to appreciate basketball in ways other girls, and most boys never did. Now working for an NBA team as Ticket Liaison for VIP Seating, her sights are set on the Executive Offices where basketball decisions are made. With her older sister engaged to the team owner’s grandson, Guidry’s path may seem smooth. However, with its inner workings driven by men, a pro sports organization can be a bumpy road for a young woman trying to find her way.
With a cast of characters reminiscent of The Office or The West Wing, depending on the day, Guidry must adapt on the fly to scenarios both serious and absurd if she wants to grow into the person she wants to become – the first female General Manager of an NBA franchise. In the arena offices, she shares a desk with the mild-mannered, boy-crazy Dana, the team’s mascot who when wearing the Manatee costume becomes the most antagonizing mascot in the league. Her secret champion is slowly becoming Mack, the Concessions Manager whose own romantic nature gets in the way of his own happiness. Alabama is the team owner who shifts between gracious matriarch and ruthless corporate kingpin in a flash. While at home, Guidry “temporarily” lives with her sister Reggie and Jorge, Reggie’s fiancé and Alabama’s grandson whose course is also yet to be determined.
Providing a unique look behind the curtain into an NBA office environment, Franchise Player frames the lives of engaging characters in absorbing, relatable circumstances. From the basketball purist to the viewer more interested in Magic Mike than Magic Johnson, this high-spirited and big-hearted story brings humor and insight into a world previously unseen.

Pyramid Scheme
feature film
in development
2025
A geophysicist and a pseudoscientist join forces on a mission to prove the existence of ancient technology using The Great Pyramid of Giza.
What if the Great Pyramid isn’t a tomb? What if nothing you thought you knew about the Great Pyramid is true? Wade Marcus, host of a popular documentary-style cable television show called “Alienated,” believes he knows the truth. And the truth is more electrifying than you could imagine. Together with Bob Schwatsky, the show’s producer, Wade endeavors to prove to the world that aliens have been visiting Earth for thousands of years and sharing their technology with humans.
On a river expedition through Mexico and Guatemala, Wade and Schwatsky find an artifact that could be the smoking gun they’ve been looking for all along, a small crystal pyramid. But before they even get back to their boat, a group of mercenaries seize the artifact. Telling the tale of his misadventure to a packed audience at Alien Con, Wade gets called out in front of everyone by Tina Kalanamatovic, the head of the Geophysics Department at Stanford University. Tina forces Wade to admit that he and his group of Ancient Astronaut Theorists still don’t have definitive proof of alien existence.
Will Wade, a pseudoscientist, manage to enlist the expertise of Tina, a bona fide scientist, in his quest to turn on the Great Pyramid? Wade must simultaneously woo Tina, a single mother of a teenager, while also convincing her that his mission has scientific merit. When a mysterious cabal begins tracking Tina, she must decide how to best protect her family. Should she stay in California or join Wade and his cohorts on a worldwide adventure to craft a new crystal capstone for the Great Pyramid of Giza?
Led by Hammett Tobias Messerschmidt, Wade’s mentor and the godfather of the Ancient Astronaut movement, the journey takes them from California to Geneva to Cairo. At each turn, the group must stay one step ahead of an evil international syndicate made up of oligarchs and power brokers, who are hell bent on maintaining the status quo of the energy economy. Utilizing a network of friends and associates from his old college days, Messerschmidt assembles a crack team to help unravel a mystery that could be tens of thousands of years old. From a pair of Swiss sisters with whom Messerschmidt shares a tangled romantic past, to a quirky master machinist masquerading as a librarian, and a powerful father and son Egyptian archaeological team, Wade and company finally have the pieces in place to accomplish their ultimate goal. Will the Syndicate be able to use their immense power to foil the pyramid scheme?
If Wade and Messerschmidt’s grand plan succeeds, it could mean the end of humanity’s reliance on fossil fuels. An endless source of clean, green, free, renewable, wireless, electromagnetic energy… And definitive proof of advanced ancient technology!
